About us
Olivia grew up in the West Midlands and first decided she wanted to be an actor at the age of nine.
After moving to London, gaining a foundation degree in Performance Studies at East 15 Acting School and a BA in Acting, Music Theatre at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama she went on to work in the acting industry . She has performed at the Royal Festival Hall, the Royal Northern College of Music, the Buxton Opera House and The Moscow Arts Theatre, among others.
Olivia started teaching over a decade ago, starting off teaching acting, singing and dancing to 4 to 12 year olds with a company called Perform. Since then she has taught acting at James Allen girls school in Dulwich, privately taught LAMDA and singing examinations and runs and co-owns The Acting Space, a company teaching acting to adults, in the hope that the techniques learned in her lessons will help boost confidence and social skills. Olivia has a real passion for teaching and loves passing on her knowledge to all ages, believing that a knowledge in music and drama can help in all walks of life.
In 2020 Olivia became a mum for the first time to the wonderful Billie, the cheeky little monkey after which Monkey Mayhem is named. Having spent the first six months of her life in lockdown and a small London flat, Billie and her parents moved to Boston and were eager to join as many playgroups and classes as possible. Billie and Olivia have thoroughly enjoyed meeting all the Boston babies and parents and exploring the many amazing things the area has to offer.
Having seen first hand the incredible benefits of an early musical and dramatic education, Olivia was very keen to get Billie enrolled in a baby music and drama class straight away. However, after many hours on the internet she could not find anything appropriate in the surrounding area. So, with her experience and background making her uniquely qualified, she decided to start one herself.
Olivia is incredibly excited to bring these classes to the South Lincolnshire area and can't wait to meet you and your cheeky monkeys for some mayhem!
